I haven't read every single comment here, so forgive me if this is repetitive. I think a new, explicitly political Bundschuh is a very good idea. The VF, as has been stated, portrays itself explicitly as the military arm, and as I was told when I inquired into it some time back, training is all about combat. Fair enough, but that does not at all exhaust what Bundschuh is.

Bundschuh needs political operatives, it needs academics and researchers (both history/politics and science), and it needs traders. All of these should be fairly small in scope - no huge transports going in and out of Bruschal (sp?) all day. But Bundschuh's primary engagement with the chancellor's regime is political, i.e., argument. It isn't combat, except where necessary. I think engaging traders and attempting to persuade them of Bund's cause, rather than outright pirating, is called for here. (And if anyone thinks that's bunk, that's precisely what we did with the Federalists in Bretonia, and it was very successful for the short time we did it.) Surgical strikes, both against certain RM targets and against even Liberty targets (to demonstrate what Bundies think of external threats to the Rheinland populace) would be appropriate, too. And I, too, think that limited relations with the Hessians is the best course of action, so as to not compromise the political message and the support of the people.
