Raised by my uncle after my mother died when I was 9 years old. I learned to survive. My uncle taught me how to fight, shoot, and fly. He was old school Navy. Hard nosed and short tempered. I learned my lessons well. We lived a hard life. Never much money and always moving around as he found work as muscle for anyone that needed it.
No women and kids, he always told me. These where his limitations...
When I was 18 he told me what really happened to my mother. Pirates where attempting to raid a passenger ship. The Navy ships in the area where to slow to respond.
The ship captain gave the pirates the credits they asked for, hoping to defuse the situation. As he began to pull away the pirates stopped him again, and said they wanted all the women off the ship. When they captain refused, they opened fire. When the ship was destroyed, they took whatever people had made it to the escape pods.
At first I was outraged... Pirates killed my mother.. But then.. I saw it for what it truly is. The strong feed off the weak. I will not be WEAK...
Therefore I am formally submitting my application to the Mandalorian Mercs. I may not be the most experienced pilot. But I have heart and will never give up. My uncle put his life on the line to protect those he worked for and cared about every day. I can only hope to do the same.

Came in contact with some MM people the other day on a character I rolled just to mess around with. After a fight and getting my rear handed to me, they did not mock me or degrade me. They began sending me advice and GF's. They refereed me to material and combat options that I was previously unaware of. To me this shows a collective group of individuals that care. They care about the game, community, their clan, and the image it has in the public.
I like the fact that MM was not part of the original game. It had to EARN every bit of what it was given, and not piggy backing respect from NPC factions (Not that there is anything wrong with that).
I like the idea of Mercs. Who can dance in the grey area. As a new player, other factions might be "easier", but none will give me the full scope of the game like MM will. To me this makes it 100x more fun and interesting because the politics are not just black and white.. MM can dance in the grey and fade away.
Please consider my application. Currently I play on-line with a character named Xanthian. He is my trade route runner and occasional,Pirate that tried to raid me, killer. (As some seem to forget that even a very large transport can still bite).
