Roy tried to get some sleep but didn't succeed.

He was used to start a day with a triple espresso and a cigar to fully awake himself. Although the sleepiness wasn't his current problem, the lack of caffeine and nicotine had quite a significant impact on his body and his hands were shaking. No matter how much he tried to cool down he felt great anger. Staring at the greek gift, Miguel gave him, the only think he was able to concentrate on was how to light it up. That bastard! Roy should've refused the damn cigar. He banged the bar with his head three times and tried to think of something else. It slightly helped.

Roy didn't just look shattered, he was hopeless. Even though he clearly heard what Margarita whispered to him. How could she possibly save him? What if the other Outcasts found out? She wouldn't be able to return back and she would have to stay with him and run, at least for some time. But no matter how promising that looked, Roy knew it wasn't right. One cannot be forced to care for someone else. What has he done? Not only has he put his head into a guillotine, but he forced Margarita to risk her life too. And it was too late to change anything. If only he had thought it well over before.

He must remain strong. Even if Margarita was right, the escape won't be simple. One doesn't get out of the dungeons of Malta easily, even if they managed to contact Mandy to help. He didn't know why are the Outcasts keeping him alive, maybe they want to play with him to satisfy their degenerate whims. He has to be prepared for everything.
