Lafiel felt firm yet not cruel hands unravel her she let her arms drop by her side not ressisitng him as Goodmen held her to arms length his hands on her shoulders. She smiled innocently her green eyes focused on his as she spoke her tone was warm and unfazed, "I don't care Goodmen, all men and woman are equal in my eyes there are no high born or commoners such people are both human and I do believe it is my choice to whom I hug if I wish to hug a friend or someone I know in greeting no system however old will prevent me."
She stared at him more curiously now wondering how her friend whom had saved her many times over the time they had known each other actually thought and why he would think the way he did, she could almost feel the cold politeness as he held her at arms length from him he was an amazing puzzle, she had never met someone quite like him he wasn't like the other friends or at the very least people she knew the feeling she got was almost tangible there was no genuine warmth.
She turned slightly gesturing with her right hand as she spoke towards the Grand Staircase and the upstairs beyond, "You know you are more than welcome to go upstairs and sleep if you are tired there are plenty of rooms with beds in your more than welcome to occupy one." She giggled nervously as she lowered her voice to a whisper, "I am mingling Goodmen honestly I'm not singling you out as a special guest and we haven't really spoken all evening... and I'm.... a little nervous I've never really been apart of such a big event focused on me before its very um daunting... oh and those two wierdly dressed nobles over there make me really on edge they give me the creeps." She eyed the two people in question nervously her gaze flicked to them an back to goodmens face as she surreticiously pointed her body masking the gesture from more prying eyes. "So if you please before you send me back past them lets chat an as you say mingle I think I can only ever recall meeting you once or twice in person before so this is a wonderful chance to talk and get to know one another out of ones ship."
Lafiel kept her breathing as normal as she could while quickly thought over potential escape routes or people to talk to so that she wouldn't have to interact with the rather odd ecentricly dressed nobles. She quietly hoped that that wasn't how all nobles turned out as they grew older she tried to comfort herself with the fact her father and grandad were perfectly normal individuals. She glanced over at the grandfather clock by the grand stairwell it was but seven o'clock the night was still very young.
