Inspector Savins stood there as the commotion occurred up front. He walked over to see what was going on, but was too late. Shrugging, he walked over to some of the bewildered Armed Forces officers until he saw Commander McDonald wandering about towards the musicians. Adam swiftly cut through the mingling crowd and slapped Boris on the shoulder.
"Commander!" Savins said with an instant smile. "How are you! 'Tis a fine idea to suggest for me to go to this I must say!"
Boris turned around, first with a hint of anger but seeing the inspector, quickly brightened up.
"My good chap! I'm doing jolly good thanks, how about yourself? How is this party? Just arrived actually.. you wouldn't believe it! The Templar I came in was faulty.. got hurt myself but it shouldn't be too much to worry. I must give this present to Lady Lafiel!" Boris exclaimed.
"Sorry to hear! The party's mood and ambience should make things better, oh and don't worry about the present.. she mingles around quite a bit and you'll eventually meet her. You missed a show earlier indeed! Some naked bloke with interesting colored socks and patched clothing.. inconvenient patching I must say in the.. places, came running around disturbing everyone! Of course they brought him down and took him away.. quite the show really." Savins said with a chuckle.
"I see.. well that sounds horrifying really, something that will really put your appetite down!" the Commander replied.
"Ah was just some amusement really.. Yes! I have a story to tell which I suppose would be a bit of a toast to...well the naked man! Care to hear?" Adam said excitedly, attracting some of the neighboring nobles to look to the young inspector.
"I..well.. a story you say?" McDonald asked hesitantly.
"Indeed! I like your enthusiasm! I shall tell it! Adam replied as he took a small shot glass from one of the caterers and began projecting his voice towards the group of people around the uneasy commander.
Once! And this was a long time ago I must say! There was a man named Brogan Twin-Hammers. He was stocky, a bit on the short side but ruthless as he terrorized a particular town for loot. Because of his continued attacks, the town called for one of the heroes of the land named Skull crusher. A rather interesting name really Anyhow, these two met on the streets of this town and the epic battle commenced! Twin-Hammers swung his mighty hammer onto the shield of his opponent, and unfortunately, his hammer broke. He met his death that day as he did have two hammers the one below his uhhh belt, isnt so great in a fight. Adam finished.
Some of the nobles left with a scoff, some with a few laughs while some stood dumbfounded wondering what was so funny
After the storytelling, Adam asked, So Boris! Did you like the story? Oh and where are we going to go around next? I am a bit hungry actually.
