Vanished?

The first indication anyone had that DarkStar had arrived was a small one. A lone Hugenot cruiser burst fourth from the jumphole to Omicron Delta, and the energies began to simmer down from the jumphole. The cruiser made a quick check around the space, and confirmed that no other ships were detected in the area. That ment the energy from the jumphole would be written off as just another part of them. Bursts of energy like that happened all the time, and more often then not nothing came through.
Good. Our presence is not known.
DarkStar leaned back in his command chair, and looked about the bridge. His crew was drawn from all tracts of life. Some were even outcasts and corsairs that wanted to go with the Phantoms. There were, of course, some problems with this but DarkStar got around to everyone in time to prevent any serious damage, physical or otherwise.
"Set course for planet Anchorage, but stay in the cloud. We don't want to get noticed."
"Aye sir!"
The ship spun, and the great engines began to build up a charge.
"Now, let's see what our dear friend the Chancellor is doing here."

It was not long after that the ship reached the edge of Anchorages' gravity well. The cruiser skirted the edges, and sent powerful scans into the cleared space and even onto the planet itself.
"Sir! I think we found a dig site!"
"Where!?"
"Right here, sir." The ensign pulled up a graphic of Anchorage. "I guess that's what Rhinlands doing out here."
"Hmm... Sure, but why..." DarkStar suddenly got a nasty thought.
"Oh ****... Get me a line to Yellow 14!"
"Aye!"
DarkStar waited for the communications link to be established between himself and the leader of the Corsair group. He already knew what to expect.
"Sir! No responce."
"Figures. Keep on your toes, go to red alert status!"
Klaxons wailed, and the gun crews rushed up to man the turrets. Fresh topidos were slid into the slots, and the ship readied itself for whatever would come.
"Keep on this headding, around Anchorage, and keep scanning. We won't move in untill we know for sure that there arn't any serious threats!"
