Sandra had just climbed out of her craft, the Loki's engines still cooling down while it rested in the hangar. On he way to her quarters, she passed a few other pilots and staff of the base but she didn't notice them because she was deeply sunken in thoughts. The door to her quarters closed behind her and she sat down on a cough, near a window to the space of Omega 54. She looked out for a moment then back to the table in front of her, head resting in her hands. Before her was the pad with her personal log file and she stared at it for a long while until eventually her hand reached out to it...

Today, I finally met the military of Rheinland again. I had noticed several ships scrambling towards stuttgard while I came out of my quarters at Offenbach outpost. As I looked through a window, I could see them vanishing into the jumphole, the trails of their engines fading after each one. I wondered what they were doing but if it was Stuttgard they travelled to, then it was without doubt something unpleasant..

My curiosity told me to follow them, but my voice of reason told me to stay at offenbach outpost. Where they were going it likley was dangerous. They were going to Rheinland... they were facing the military, for some reason, I knew it. In the end, curiosity got the better of me and I piloted my ship through the jumphole and towards stuttgard.

My longrange scanners showed several RHA craft as well as military craft and as I contacted Lt. Claus he confirmed it. A firefight in Stuttgard. It had once again come to hostilities and I asked if I should call for help but it wasn't needed. I then came closer to observe, to learn. I wanted to see how the military acted and reacted towards the Red Hessians, how they speak, how they communicate, even how they insult.

As I saw the greenish trails of Rheinland weaponry in the distance, I was reminded of the rain of fire they sent down upon me when I fled them for voicing my opinion. I could see that both sides struggled, each of them undoubtedly believed in what they fought for. And that was what made me so sad. Neither side would simply back down or make a compromise. Their goals were clear, and until these goals weren't achieved they would not rest. They knew it, both of them.

When I observed the Rheinland military and Red Hessian Army fighting, I felt helpless. I did not know the details about either side, only the general outline of their reasoning, but still it seemed so pointless. The war with liberty the war within Rheinland, the war with the Corsairs and other hostile borderworld forces. I wished to understand and the pointless fighting to stop. Maybe when I will get a chance to speak to a Red Hessian member again, maybe then I'll learn about the details of the war within Rheinland and perhaps as well the one with liberty.
