Today a great battle took place, and my first as part of His Majesty's Navy. I was flying a test run in my new bomber from the Beauvrey when the call came in that the Flagship of Madame Grand Marshall LaCroix herself was being engaged by multiple rebel fightters and bombers near Planet Nevers. Along with a sqadron scrambled to intercept, i made my way to Nevers and enter the battle that was in progress. I took Guncam shots of the battle before entering, and it was clear that with the RNS Normandie supporting her ship, the Madame Grand Marshall was in little danger from a small band of rebel fighters.
As the battle progressed, many rebel ships fell to the overwhelming might of our forces, and they eventaully pulled back. However it was not completely one-sided, sadly the Normandie was crippled in the battle by Council bombers before they retreated. But overall it was a victory for our forces, as the rebels were forced to fall back after a number of their ships were destroyed. But we can be in no doubt that the rebels will strike again in such a way, but wihout doubt, they will be repelled just as they were this day.
