It is goot to be back in space after the extensive ion storms that have grounded most of the ships for so long. And today was a fruitful day as far as can be said.
All was quiet as i began my patrol from the Beuvrey, all the lanes were secure and running as normal, no reports of Council activity had been recieved. As I was heading from Nevers back to Dijon, I recieved orders to divert to Dauphine and report to the Embrun command. Apparently a large Sirian ship had been sighted by a civilian transport, naturally their eyes often decieve them, but this time the civilians prooved a mot valuable reconnaissance tool.
As I entered Dauphine, the co-ordination officer from the Embrun told me to proceed from the wreck of Bourgon-Jallieu along the lane to the sealed Jump Gate. As i made my way along the lane, a large unidentified ship appeared at long range. I exited the lane and moved towards it to see whether or not it was the Sirian we were looking for. Sure enough once I got within scanner range, I was able to identify it as a Sirian, and a ship of Cruiser size.
I ordered it to stop, but it refused, it said it had buisness with the Council. Eventually i got within disruptor range and halted it by force. I then proceeded to attempt to question it about what its motives for being in Gallia were, but without warning it opened fire on my ship. With all haste I engaged thrusters and evaded its fire, however it would appear that Sirian technology and Sirian gunnery skill are vastly inferior than those we face in baisic combat training. Soon after i engaged it, a patrol wing of two fighters and two bombers showed up and engaged it. With the support it barely lasted a minuite under our fire and was destroyed just as it attempted to jump to Burgundy.
As i was proceeding back to the Embrun, I was ordered to head to Lorraine to assist in the distruction of a second Sirian ship, however as I was about to enter Lorraine I recieved word that it had fled. As such I headed back to the Beuvrey for minor repairs and to release the pilots the Sirian Cruiser had captured. Thus ends my report.
