A small flicker came from within the cube, and it let out a beam of blue light that seemed almost solid. Striking the chair opposite, the light seemed to bounce back from it, and then disappeared back into the cube. On the chair it had struck was a perfectly circular space where all the dirt and dust had been removed, and also it seemed a layer of the actual -seat- was missing, a circular imprint into the wood about five millimetres deep.
