An RP Event: Tour of Sirius Race

[color=white]In the days when Man dwelled in the Sol system and made his home on Earth, the nations of our original planet held contests for prestige -- grand endurance races that would test the unity of body, mind, and spirit of each contender, driving them to rise beyond their limits and achieve what no other can.

Now for the first time, the essence of those races has come to our new home, with the Tour of Sirius: An endurance race through 12 systems that will pit the best against the best. Contenders will need skill, determination, and tactical prowess to take the ultimate victory. Unlike the passive Tours of old, however, the Tour of Sirius will allow limited weapons, shields, countermeasures, and cruise disruptor technology, challenging pilots to balance speed with strategy, rewarding only those who excel at both.

Now is YOUR chance to show your skill to the rest of Sirius! Outfit your ship, outpace your competition, outwit your rivals, and take the glory you deserve!

The race begins in Bretonia at Planet Leeds, proceeding through Edinburgh, Tau-31, Tau-29, Tau-23, Tau-37, Omicron Alpha, Omicron Eta, Omicron Theta, Omega-41, Omega-5, and Cambridge, before finally heading back to Leeds. The Battleship Derby will oversee the start of the race, with the finish line being the Planet Leeds docking ring.

This event will be held on Saturday, 27 February at 8 PM ET (5 PM PT). The race is open to all competitors from all servers who would like to come join us for this event, and then return to your own server for your regular play.
