Trading between the Rheinland and Kusari stations was all well and profitable, but was starting to become somewhat tedious. Once, halfway through the route in Sigma-13, I saw some ships flying out off the regular trade lane route into the cloud. I curiously followed to find a station hidden within the clouds. This was my first contact with the Junkers. They paid me well to dispatch of some Corsair ships, a job easily taken care of even in my freighter.

They welcomed me as a regular trader and opened their market to me. They had mostly scrap metal and salvaged goods, but also stranger commodities I had never seen before. The tradesman showed me an item called Synthetic Marijuana. It is apparently a drug that is the replica of a kind that was very popular all those centuries ago in Sol. He told me that most well to do colonies would pay well for this. I bought a few units and, after paying, he warned that if any House police caught me with this I wouldn't be let off lightly.

I didn't resent him for selling me contraband, if anything, it would open up new routes for me to explore. Luckily the system was quite and I made a slight detour back to Dresden, to a Red Hessian base tucked away in the clouds. They wouldn't pay top-credit for the goods, but instead had another commodity that was equally as illegal in Rheinland space, Blood Diamonds. The Kusari neighbours, however, welcomed these with open arms.

The Junkers here, I found, were repressed by the Hogosha, an organisation that held no love for me after the favours I had done the Junkers. I quickly made my way out of the system which was no longer welcoming my trade as easily as before. It was time to move on elsewhere.
