There is this thing called the Neural-Net that assists in not only communicating with other pilots, it also helps them fly their craft.
Now as to weither or not the N-Net is biological or artificial at its root is debatable, but I've always seen it as biological.
Yes, That means that every pilot in Sirius is chipped in the head & they simply can't fly their craft effectively w/o it...& the ease of communication is a huge bonus.
Hell, a major reoccurring issue with my My first real character dealt with him constantly suffering from splitting headaches everytime his Neural-Net was activated, stemming from chronic tissue rejection when the implant was forced on him by the state the 1st time he went to a Bretonian prison as a teenager & fought the install every step of the way.
