Igiss,
I think this is a really interesting discussion. My most recent character (I will reveal name later) has made enemies of Liberty Navy and most Police forces (although it took a lot of attacks to shake that Navy tag, I tell you!). I'm sure Gateway Shipping and Bowex have bounties on him. He steals cargo by shooting transports and tractor beaming it in. Basically, he's a nasty criminal. That's role-playing, and the reputation system reflects his actions.
If he were to meet another player that's run missions for the Liberty Navy, like some players do early on, then they would show as hostile to each other. If within the pvp rules, I would attack if I wished. I might decide to treat the player just as I would an npc. I consider that role-playing. Why is it any different? I'm getting in the mind of my character, who is totally mad and thinks like a Liberty Rogue.
Daedalus, on the other hand, wouldn't attack a criminal straight away, as that's not the Liberty way. As Daedalus, I'm currently busy defending Sirius from an alien menace.
Oh, and on F1 thing - scream for help, try to run, fight back, take the hits, or warn everyone about the threat on this board afterward. I don't understand why someone wanting to press F1 is playing a multiplayer game.
Note to new members - don't worry, the server isn't anywhere near as violent as it sounds!!
Role-played characters:
daedalus - Liberty Navy
bandersnatch - Ruthless criminal possessed by a (huge) alien
Shredder - Small-time Kusari pirate, looking to join the Blood Dragons
"Bounty Hunters. We don't need that scum." - Admiral Piett
