To answer the "WHY RP THE SPEECH OF EVERYONE ON A SHIP" question from some of you - for a start, I don't. I have a selection of important bridge crew members on my one and only cruiser - a captain, a sub-commander/science officer, a helmsman/navigator, an engineer and an assisting A.I.
My captain is by far the person who speaks the most, but sometimes I'd like to spice things up a bit and play out a mini-episode happening onboard involving other crew members. From an away team mission to a nearby planet to a humorous incident where the science officer has accidently killed the captain's pet in an experiment. I like RP'ing these and I'm sure other people enjoy them too.
I wasn't criticising one man caps, I was only curious about their way and variety of RP which in my opinion would be pretty limited.
