Many players, prominent, improminant, whatever, will interact with the CR, find it unpleasant to do so, come here to try and help correct the problem so that future encounters can be pleasant, and find that they are told such rubbish as "Well, would be better if all Outcasts were 2-day knobs, cuz then they'd be easier to kill and marginalize on the forums."
This is not proper behavior of an official faction. This is the behavior of people who are willingly disregarding everything that is said about them that is not 'oh you are wonderful.' Official factions are held to higher standards then indies. Act that way.
Right now, there are more people posting "the CR are doing this that or the other thing WRONG" then in the usual Phantom/Keeper thread. That alone should tell you something. The fact that a greater RANGE of people are complaining here then in the average Phantom/Keeper thread should tell you about 5 different things.
And then they all get told some variation of "you did it wrong, so we did it wrong". That's not how it works. You have people coming here and saying:
' Wrote:I am sorry I even bothered to interact with you.
and you're content with that. Meaning you're just here to have your own fun no matter who you blow up. Take a step back, re-read the rules, re read a few of the pinned threads around here, heck, re-read some RP stories. There are some fairly good ones that nobody pays attention to. Then make a Bretonian or Rheinland unlawful. A lot of the CR players are very very one-dimensional, and it's not healthy.
At the end of the day, the goal is not how many cardi smugglers you stop, or how many Outcasts you turn into Blue Messages. At the end of the day, both sides should walk away from their computer thinking "yeah, that's a fun game and a good server, I'd like to be there more often, and interact with people there more tomorrow." So far, the CR have not shown that quality, that empathy. Take a look at it from the other side. In fact, deliberatly lose a fight. It's not about the blue messages, despite when those silly Phantoms think. (Yes that was a joke)
My 'biases' or characters.
A Hoghosha who loves pirating you, and when he gets caught he's royally screwed because it's a transport vs 3 bombers and 4 fighters. Via Yarr's eyes I have personally witnessed the whole "stall while I call for help on skype thing" and it makes it no fun for me, or the miners later because I come back and start shooting first so that if the CR do come, I can kersplode the miner, and still get away.
An IMG miner, a Bretonian Gunboat that has never met the CR, a Kusari Gunboat, a Junker, that has never been caught by the CR, but who has witnessed the pack mentality of you guys. An indy pirate, has not met the CR. Wilde and RepEx and a few Libertonian characters. A Corsair who hasn't seen the CR. A Wilde who's blown up 2 ore transports.
And last but most importantly, the perspective of a community member, who has watched the community raise concerns with the CR, and who has seen the CR leadership respond inappropriately at best, arrogant and egotistical at worst, to those concerns. Over the past 2 weeks the comments in various chats, some of which have nothing to do with the Taus, going along the lines of "yeah, the CR are really imploding/getting on my nerves" have skyrocketed off the charts. It's a sad thing, as a community member, I'm starting to doubt if the CR as a whole are fit for official faction status. I don't want to think that, but the arrogance, the rule breaking, the rule bending, and the complete disregard for other players here has made me start to think that.
