Just because you were 'on the other side of the system' doesn't mean you weren't a threat to the Emperor. The best security is prevention. Just like in escorting, if your protectee sees danger, you've failed.

And Iseijin were flying KNF ships, with KNF IFFs (in RP). We didn't pass within scan range till they went out of their way to hunt us down.
We'd have passed as KNF, at 7k.
