[TDF]- Tau Defence Force is an unofficial faction that hope to become official one day. We are still a long way from achieving our goal but we are trying hard to get there. We are open to suggestions about improving our faction and hope to start gaining more members so we can show the server we are good to have around for RP sake. I would also like to say that even tho people think that the Tau systems are over crowded i would like to point out that in real life when there is money to be made in an area the people flock to make as much as they can. So basically what im saying is it is very RP to have a lot of player in a high profit area.
Intro: The IMG commissioned a new defensive branch to be created to counter a growing Outcast threat. The main goals of this branch are to protect the miners of the Tau systems at all costs and try to thin the outcast population as much as possible.
History
810AS: After years of relentless attacks from the outcasts the IMG commissioned a new defensive fleet to Patrol the Tau systems protecting miners and transports and hitting the outcasts when possible. There numbers were small to begin with but after afew months they had a few wings of fighters and some gunboats. There patrol became more common and the miners were now feeling safer, but the Outcast threat was still out there and growing every day.
811AS: It had been one year since their creation, they had completed countless defensive missions and saved hundreds of lives, but they were looking for a way to end the fighting much sooner. They had formed a plan to attack Cali the Outcasts base of operations in Tau-23. The attack started well with the Outcasts being shot down without much effort then the outcasts elite unit turned up. The Cartel fighters ripped apart the TDF fleet, and they were forced to retreat.
812AS: An IMG convoy was attacked by Outcasts while leaving Tau-23. The escorts were outnumbered 2:1 but they fought the Outcasts none the less, they were getting taken out like flies, the transports thought it was the end, but then a wing of colonial fighters arrived and saved them. Ever since that day there has been a mutual friendship between the IMG and the Colonials
814AS: Mining was making more for the IMG than ever before, the had put billions into new mining ship and research into making mining more efficient. With the left over credits the TDF was able to research new weapons and build better ships, it wasn't long before the IMG ships were just as good, if not better, than an Outcast ship. The TDF patrols were becoming more effective and there were a lot more patrols at once seeing as they needed less ships per wing.
815AS The IMG built a small fleet of mining ships and transports especially for the TDF so that they could fund their running costs and stop cutting into IMG profits to much. After a Hogosha raid on Tau-23 the TDF fought them every time they were seen in Tau space. This new war will put some strain on the TDF ranks with ships spread all over Tau, but they will come out the victors in the war against pirates.

The TDF works on various operations from day to day. They patrol the Tau systems and hunt down any ships not belong to or working with IMG. They also do a lot of mining and transporting, after all they are just a more militarised branch of the IMG. They rarely leave the Tau systems, the mainly leave to escort transports.
Political Affairs: The TDF is mainly paroling the Tau systems to protect miners and hunt pirates.
