The blond receptionist looks up just in time to see a brow haired young man with blue eyes approach the desk.
"Guten tag! Is there anything I could do for you sir?" the receptionist said happily.
"Yes ma'am, I have some combat experience in the past and I saw you had some job openings posted for -"
"The Talons!?" - the receptionist interrupted - "Yes! Of course we have openings. One moment please."
The man looked around, taking in the beautiful artwork setup around the waiting room as the receptionist to return with his paper work.
The receptionist silently returned and poked him on left shoulder trying not to startle the wannabe security pilot. The man jumped and swung around nervously adding:
"Ah, yes ma'am?"
"Just fill out this form and sign *here* and *here*."
"Ah, thank you."
"Is there anything else I could do for you meine herr?"
"Yes actually... Do you know how much time is left in the waiting room?
The receptionist stared vacantly at the man for a few seconds and finally asked:
"Excuse me?"
"Ahh... Nevermind."
The man walked back over to the waiting area and took a seat next to two other pilots who were filling out paper work.

Quote:4. Previous employment and combat experience
Back when I was a kid I helped out my father (Hans Fuerst) who, ironically, worked for RepEx at the time. We spent a lot of time in Bretonia and Omega space (on the side where I picked up this rather annoying Bretonian accent) trying to locate and plot new shipping routes for RepEx. That was unfortunately cut short when he died of an inherited heart condition when I was 17.
By that age I knew enough about small transport ships, such as the Humpback, to continue flying them by myself. Finding work wasn't easy, but I stuck to it. I would Freelance around the Omegas and pick up small trade and plotting missions. Of course finding work came at a price; I would often find myself on the business end of Hessian or Corsair laser weaponry. Using tactics that my father taught me, I slowly got better at eluding them.
By 24 years of age I was doing Freelance escort missions in an Eagle VFH for small independent trading companies and the influx of miners in the Omegas. By 26 I was working full time for the Bounty Hunters Guild and was given an opportunity, so long as I went through additional training, to join the Guild Core. Of course I enjoy working in the Private Sector, but the military like structure of the Core would have been just too much for me. I turned down the offer and left the Guild in search of a new job where I wouldn't be dragged into some kind of war with Omicron hiking gun nuts.
This is how I ended up here today.
Quote:5. In a short paragraph, please describe your motivation for joining Black Talon and why we should hire you.
My motivation stems from when my father worked for RepEx. However, back then we were not as fortunate to have such an extensive security wing as we do today. I feel it is my duty now to make up for the times when RepEx transports had no escorts or protection. More simply put, I will take care of whatever pirates and criminals that get in your company's way as swiftly as possible. I can't say I'm very fond of them (believe me, they have caused me more than enough grief as it is). However, I can tell you that I do not mess around at all when it comes to getting the job done.
Got a route being tolled by some dummkopf Hessian wako? Send me out I will make it my mission to make him leave and never come back through reasoning or other wise. Although weapons are effective tools, they only go so far. Negotiation and reasoning are also effective tools at preventing piracy. Sometimes you just need to talk them into bothering an easier target, a tactic that has come in helpful numerous times in the Omegas.
I also have advanced experience with navigating the obstacles of the Omegas and additional knowledge of the locals in Bretonia, both skills that help when your convoy is on the verge of missing a deadline.
Lastly, I have gained extensive experience in escorting high profile targets such as CEO's, executives, and bank shipments through my work in the Bounty Hunter's Guild.
I believe I have effectively outlined my motivation and experience to the best of my ability in this document, however if you have further questions my Sk4y3 ID is bitterkomet.
Sincerely,
- Leon Fuerst
Leon read over the document one last time before standing up and approaching the receptionist desk. Looking around Leon could see the receptionist was no where to be seen. Slightly irritated that he had no where to place the document, he placed a small adhesive note on it and wrote "Please read!" and left the application near an empty folder on the receptionist's desk.
Leon checked the time on his personal neural net tablet and realized he was late for an appointment and jogged out of the waiting room hoping the receptionist would find his application.
