He removed his hat as he stepped through the entryway to to the lounge, rubbing his tired eyes after a long day on the bridge. His uniform was still crisp after a long day, his ribbon rack over his left breast showing with pride as his cape rolled over his back to about 6 inches off the floor. Noticing the guard at the door, he smiled a bit and shook his hand, "NeqneH, Mr. Garok," he said sharply.
The guard responded, "neqneH, Commander. 'oH 'oH QaQ Daq legh SoH."
The Commander laughed and put his hands up, "OK, Mr. Garok, I give. I still have much to learn of your language." He then asked him, "what are you drinking?"
"While I'm working, prune juice, a Warrior's drink!" he declared.
"Bah!" the Commander declared as he approached the bar, "Blood Wine for us both, Rhonda."
"Oh yes, Sir, Commander," the small brunette said as she filled two large mugs with ice, tequila, rum, a dash of grenadine syrup, 2 dashes of hot sauce and then filled the rest up with cranberry juice. She then shook each mug twice and handed them to the Commander who in turn, brought one to his Klingon friend.
"Mr. Garok, THIS is a warrior's drink," he declared as they touched mugs and took a big drink.
"qa'plAH!" the Commander declared, "excellent mix as usual."
"qa'plAH indeed, Commander," replied Garok, "you would make a great Klingon!"
With that, the Mr. Garok finished his drink at the Commander's order while the commander himself mingled with some of the command staff and some of the medical people. After several minutes, he noticed his head barmaid wasn't there. He then returned to Rhonda.
"Where's Doreen?" he asked.
"Doreen? Oh, her shift ended awhile ago," she answered, "she had a rough night and well, she was pretty beat."
"What happened?" inquired the Commander.
"You know, I'm not totally sure exactly," she explained, "a visitor spoke to her briefly, handed her a small toy and she ran out crying." She then shrugged, "I don't get it really."
She then saw the stranger with the hooded shirt in a corner, "I think it was him but I"m not sure."
The Commander then patted her on the shoulder and simply said "thanks."
He took a seat, watching inquisitively, studying the crowd
