Match#2.3 : ZTC vs RFP


Surprisingly, RFP didn't get their highly anticipated fourth man online which meant that (]c[)Whesto.Dwanianm, the fourth of the ZTC, had to stay out of the competition in order to enable a 3on3. However, as all parties agreed to his presence during the fight, he was at least able to watch his team winning the match.
The RFP brought three of their Mjolnir Super Heavy Fighters - two of them equipped with SNACs while the Zoners showed up with a Sabre and two GMG bombers.
As the gear of both sides indicated, the first SHF was destroyed only 20 seconds after the match had started.
When some unexpected Bundschuh NPCs showed up, the fight had to be paused and relocated from a 40k to a 60k distance to the gate. As some Zoners kept on firing even though the ref yelled at them to stop, (]c[)Charles.M.Burns:. (the only VHF of the Zoners) had to take a 60 sec time out as a penalty when the fight was continued. Shortly afterwards, the second RFP vessel, piloted by Regenkurt, was destroyed by Boll's SNAC.
With only one police officer left, (]c[)James.Ferguson decided to stay out of the rest of the match. A generous and sportive gesture that seemed to backfire at first: RFP|Det.Dominik.Mertins managed to SN Bolls GMG Bomber. Still, Ferguson stayed out of the fight and rather watched the duel between Mertins and Burns that dragged on for at least fifteen minutes, rather than aiding his last companion.
However, Mertins (Ping constantly higher than 150) decided to surrender after some time, as it was clear to him that he would loose the fight in the long run with Burns dealing enough damage to his hull and due to the fact that he wouldn't be able to SN the Sabre that was ultra evasive when its shield dropped.
But it is important to note that Mertins successfully minetrapped Burns numerous times. But as the tracking of missiles and CDs is currently malfunctioning for unknown reasons, he was not able to use this tactic to his advantage.
