Captain Brendan Colins lay slouched in his captains chair with his feet on the control panel in front of him on the bridge of his siege cruiser, the LNS-Tyrant. He had been sitting there for almost a day waiting for his captors to come aboard and get himself and the crew off their new trophy.

He sat on the bridge alone. Most crew members had gone to try and help others and fix what they could despite most of the ships systems and tools being offline due to the lack of power. The main concern had been the reactor, for when the mortar that destroyed engines hit it had done much more damage to the ship. The shockwave itself was enough to disrupt the reactor and adding in the fact it was working at full capacity to charge the capacitors for the main cannon when it was disrupted. It was amazing that it hadnt become out of control and blown the ship apart. Colins had personally overseen the re-stabilisation and deactivate of the reactor. With the core being breached it was too risky to have kept the power giving reaction going for the risk of radiation poisoning to the crew being almost certain. Afterward though he returned to his chair and let the crew fill in the time in any way they wished.

Just as he was about to go back to sleep he heard footsteps coming up the corridor that lead straight to the bridge.

Captain, Ive received news that soldiers have begun entering the airlock to the ship...

About time wouldnt you say White? I was getting bored sitting here. He got up, stretched and began walking with Julia White, the second in command aboard the Tyrant, to the entrance to the bridge.

Alright, tell the crew to try and get into open areas where they can all be seen, or if they can back to their quarters. Most likely these guys want the ship and not the crew so I want everyone out of their way.

Julia simply nodded and began to walk back down the corridor when Colins voice echoed after her.

Oh one more thing. Make sure none of the crew comes up this way, Ive got a nice little surprise for anyone who comes up that corridor. Julia looked round to see the captain waving something in the air.

"A bloody Gauss rifle" She thought. "How the hell did he get that aboard?"

All right captain, anything else?

A beer and a bath would be great. Now go do you job. Julia shook her head as she continued walking.

Because the emergency power was only enough to power the life support the message couldnt be delivered using the speaker system throughout the ship. Instead she would have to organise runners to spread the message around the ship as fast as possible.

Navigating the ship was almost impossible. Panels were ripped off and tossed meters down the corridors. Pipes leaked all sorts of different substances. The worst spills belonging to what was left of the coolant system which had been vaporised by the heat of the reactor during the minutes after the destruction of the engines. As she navigated the ship it was clear that the Hellfire Legion where going to have one hell of a clean up to do...

Julia White walked down the corridor leading from crew quarters, nearly tripping over a pile of debris on her way out. Most of the crew had been obedient enough, packing up and heading to what little was left of their rooms as ordered, and she was now making her way to the engine room. The elevator was shot, so she would have to take the stairs. As she neared deck four, whispers could be heard from the engine room up ahead.

"You got that right, David! We're not handing this ship over to any goddamned Lane Hackers or "Legion" or whatever it is the bastards call themselves."

Julia rounded the corner and pryed the door open to the engine room, which fell down unceremoniously with a loud crash.

She made it a point to brush the dust off her officers uniform before speaking up.

"All of you, to your quarters. Now."

The men gathered there waited for a few seconds, stunned, before bursting out in laughter.

"So wha, you're with the Legion now or summat, White? Well even if you want to pussy out 'n surrender..."

Chief engineer Johnathan Williams finished the other mans reply.

"We ain't goin' down without a fight!"

"Those are orders from captain Colins himself! I will drag you to your quarters by force if I need to. I will not have you jeopardize the lives of our crew with your insane plan!"

The engineering team stood firm, grins fading as Julia drew her sidearm and pointed it right between the eyes of the chief.

"I will NOT hesitate to fire. All of you to your quarters, N-"

Julia shrieked as Johnathan strode up to her matter-of-factly, knocking the gun from her hand with a flick of his arm, and gripped Julia by her throat.

"Mark, David.. tie her down... The rest of you, get on with overloading the core already!"
