The RNC-Neuss was called to Omega-7 today because of some "threats" through the IMG. The Rheinland Military Gunboat "Kal-Skirata" asked for help to get the situation in Omega-7 under controll. When we arrived in the northern field the "Kal-Skirata" started attacking an IMG Gunboat named "Duck.Dodgers", without knowing what that was all about, I decided to tell them to stop fighting.
It was told to me by the captain of the "Kal-Skirata", that the IMG, or at least some of them, had taxed and threatened Rheinlands miners in Omega-7.
We were trying to clear the situation, I couldn't get any good evidence, though another Kruger miner stated that things like those happened around there. The situation couldn't be solved, it looks like our little "miner"-war down there is going out of hand. I don't know why the "Kal-Skirata" engaged without trying to solve the problem without a fight, the captain should know, that every ship is valuable! We shouldn't risk our ressources like that.
While trying to get the situation cleared, we were attacked by a massive Corsair ship - a battleship of the Osiris class - and a Corsair bomber. The "Kal-Skirata" was heavily damaged and we suffered heavy damage as well and had to leave to survive the encounter.
I suggest we should have an eye on the system, the Corsairs were talking about some "revenge" on us. It looks like they are becoming a real threat down there, even invading Rheinland space with bigger ships, that's highly dangerous and should be considered a great threat! Though we must focus on the war against Liberty, we shouldn't leave the other borders unprotected. This attack against Rheinland cannot be left ignored!
The Neuss is returning to guard the northern border in and around Hamburg, when the ship is repaired.
