I have no sympathy for traders who are forced to jettison all cargo.

My smuggler characters are told to do it all the time.

But to refer to some of the other posts in this thread- be careful what you call "abuse" and "OORP"... you can play a stupidly brave and sharp-tongued trader, you can play a trader who's too greedy or reckless to hire an escort, you can play a trader who would rather fight back using his transport guns than take the extra ten minutes to fly around the system to avoid you.

Decide your own RP, and let others decide theirs.
