She found his story to be of interest as she rested her chin upon her clasped hands, her elbows on the table. As she listened, she slowly rocked her head to the music with a slight smile. She had noticed the slight blue tone of his skin but didn't take alarm to it.
"So was it because of the cold that you have that skin tone?" she asked sweetly, taking a look down then back to his face. She then unfolder her hands to take another sip of her drink. Almost out of concern if for nothing else, she moved her hand to feel his skin.
"Yes," she added, trying to hide her slight Rheinland accent, "it sounds as if we have some stuff in common."
As they enjoyed each other's company, a beeper went off in her pocket. "Excuse me," she said as she sat up and looked at it. For her, she knew what it meant, Benjen was hungry. With the beeping, one hand went to her chest as she could feel her milk letting down.
"Um....if you're going to be around a bit, I need to go feed my son. I should be back a bit later. If not, I will be back on duty in the morning," she explained. She then smiled, "Thank you. It's nice having someone to talk with that understands me."
She then stood up, her hand still over her chest and made a hasty walk out of the lounge. As she passed the Klingon guard, he just nodded and went back to his business as she disappeared down the hall and around the corner.
