Does Disco still have enough player base to keep running all factions ?

I havent read every page so if this has been said im sorry.

The fact that in every official faction here are basically the
same players and in every skype channel are basically the same players,
makes it seem to the good indies out there, and yes there are many, that
you need to be in the clique and little boys club to be invited or accepted
into one of these factions.

So the majority that i know do not have any desire to join these <strike>cliques</strike> factions.

to be a member of that club, all you need is to apply. it isnt a little boys club as you so pejoratively infer, but a group of gamers, people just like you, who like playing freelancer, just like you.

but if you have no desire to join, why are you complaining about the restricted membership?

I think if you were only allowed to be in 1 official faction or factions that are not enemies,
it would be more appealing to alot of people that would like the red vs black side of it
with none of this metagaming of ohh look so and so is on his ship ...lets swap
chars and attack them. And you give me their info from their skype so we can gank them etc etc.

Most wont agree with this but its what would make me want to join an official faction, and many
others i know feel the same way.

Anyway they are my thoughts and not ment to be taken as an attack against anyone here.

i have played on a server where faction-membership was polarised like you suggest... it turned into a nasty, pvp orientated, spawn-war. not fun at all.


when i came here, i was like .... woah, you let people join who are members of other factions? what do you do about spies?
"we enjoy their RP"
"what? what about their RP when they blow up your armory?"
"people dont do that here, and if they did, they'd get sanctioned - by admins, and by their colleagues - who are also in both factions.

having a 'No Multi-faction' Rule would cause chaos. do not want.
