The unknown man is walking down the street, a slight limp in his step. He walks like he has a place to be, but is in no hurry to be there. He enters the building at the end of the street, remembering the last time he did.

"Can I help you?" The clerk at the reception desk asked.
"Yes, I am looking for a place in the Strontium Dogs." replied the man.
The clerk was the same one on duty the day he had been in the building before.
"What is your name Sir?" the Clerk asked, ready at the keyboard to type in the name, sending it over the neural net for references.
"Cameron Mitchell." the man replied.
Obviously the clerk did not recognise the name, because she typed it in anyway and came up with his S/D history.
"Sir, I have you as part of the Strontium Dogs already. You were reported MIA a few months ago, captured by a massive Corsair force according to the report, ah here it is:

I was told by a Mr Mitchell to relay the following message to this frequency, it was picked up by our sensors a few minutes ago:

Today i have been hunting Corsairs in Omega 5 and have goten myself into abit of a mess. The jumpholes are guarded by massive amounts of Corsair forces, and i can not break through with my Hammerhead.
I am hiding in one of the corners of the systems. I was earlier engaged multiple times by corsair ships and my ship is heavily damaged, requesting *static* assistance immediately. Most of my systems are fried, my weapons can not be repaired, my shield generator has been damaged and is only working at 20% capacity.
My left engine is gone, and my right engine has been damaged.
I am requesting assistance immediately, my life is at stake *static*. I don't know how *static* before the cor*static* find me, but i really need the *static* assistance.
OH GOD NO! A corsair dread*static*.

I presume that Mr Mitchell has been captured by the corsair forces or killed in action.

I am sorry to give you this news, but i wanted you to know and see the message.

Mitchell read the report with keen eyes. Then he eventually looked back to the Clerk.
"Sir, you do not need to re-apply, you are already in the S/D, you never left."
"I know, i know, i just don't think it feels right if i don't."
"Hmm, very well then. Heres an application, fill it out the best you can."

My name is Cameron Mitchell. I do not expect you would of heard of me before this day, so I shall tell you my story.
I was born in the outer circle of the Capital of Planet California Minor, in 792A.S. My parents weren't rich, but luckily they weren't poor either. They ran a small shipping company, transporting goods across the planet to make a profit. Normally it would be building materials, for new colonies beginning on the planet in need of shelter.
One day, they told me they were shipping food to one of the colonies they had given building materials to over the last few weeks. They said I could come with them, to see how the trade worked at a young age. I was 8 years old at the time. The meeting was a trap. The settlers of the small village my parents had been supplying had infact been Liberty Rogues, making a small base of operations for planned raids against Planetform structures dotted all over the planet. And my parents usefulness had just ended.
When my mum and dad left the ship looking for someone to sign for the package, Rogues hidden under the snow popped out. My parents had not noticed them, but I had. I banged against the glass, screaming at them to watch out, but it was no use. My parents were gunned down on that day. I thought my life had lost all meaning, all purpose, all hope.
Then i had new parents, these ones were relatively kind, they gave me food and shelter. But I never forgot my real parents, David and Sophie Mitchell. By the time I was 18, I had realised that I could make a difference to the world if i tried hard enough. I could make sure that nobody had to suffer the same way I did.
I decided against joining the Liberty Police and Navy, they did not have what I was looking for. I became a basic Bounty Hunter, performing small bounties against minor drug smugglers and small gang bosses. But it didn't feel right. I just didn't feel like I was making a difference, my Barracuda was no match for the scum of Sirius. I decided to look for a group, a group of professionals where I could become one of the best. And then i found you.

I am mainly capable of flying fighters and bombers but i am able to fly all types of ships.

That was before, before things went wrong. After I was accepted into the Dogs I worked in my Hammerhead, but it just wasn't powerful enough for when that day came. I was flying through Omega 5, when I made my distress call. I was captured aboard the Corsair Dreadnaught that I mentioned before, seems they really wanted to capture a Strontium Dog, and I was just there at the wrong time.
I was made to work, with others who had been captured. The torture was nothing I couldn't handle, i had endured worse. Three meals a day, they just opened our cells, tossed in partially cooked meat and shut the door again, like we were some sorts of animals to them.
Then, the ship we were stored on came under heavy assault. Theres not much to say, the cell doors were weak, and the vibrations of the ship shuddered them open. My cellmates and I made our escape, heading toward the secondary hanger. They were all Outcasts, and eventually they decided they didn't need me anymore. They attempted to kill me, big mistake. I had managed to make weapons out of some of the tools we use during our work, and when the first one lept towards me he got an eye full of fork. The rest ran after that, and I continued alone.
The ship continued to shudder and shake more violently as I made my way to the secondary hanger. I expected some sort of Centurion for me to take, but I was very suprised by what I found.
I actually found a Bounty Hunter Bomber in the Hanger, seems they had just captured it and were about to start studying it.
I stole it, and after that theres not much to say. I had no idea where I was, I didn't even see what was attacking the ship as I escaped, I guessed it might of been Outcasts, or possibly even Nomads.

And now, well I made it back two days ago. All I have from it injury wise is an annoying limp, which will probably be gone in a few years, with some cuts and bruises here and there.

The Bomber is perfectly intact, preserved to perfection, and I would like it to be my new ship. The reason I was captured was because my Hammerhead was weak.

I shall make sure that doesn't happen again.

Mitchell finished the application, ending it in a wild signiture, then limped out of the door, the room being temporarily blinded by the sunlight moving in, then the artificial lights took hold as the doors shuddered closed.
