Admin Notice: Player sanctioned

The reason why, as HFM so eloquently put it, that you cannot access the admin link is that you are not a server administrator. We place those links in sanction posts so that those of us who were not involved can look at things for review, since there are numerous reports that get filed, even if nothing happens to many of them due to insufficient evidence or a misunderstanding of the rules.

Now, it appears that you are the one who has had a misunderstanding of the rules here.

First, there's 1.2 - Server administrators will impose sanctions on players for violating server rules and for any actions that harm server gameplay.

Okay, what have you done to harm server gameplay?

Well, that's where rule 1.1 comes into play: Discovery Freelancer 24/7 RP (Discovery RP) is a ROLEPLAYING SERVER. Role playing is REQUIRED while playing here. At what point in time would you consider telling someone with a gun to your head to go ahead and kill you in real life? You were not role-playing in this encounter in the least.

Next we have rule 3.3 - Out-of-character (OOC) chat must not be used in system or local chat. OOC communication in group or private chat between players will cease if one player requests it. Admins are free to communicate with any player at any time.

Tied in together with that is rule 3.1 - Using coarse language, posting abusive, hateful, racist content in chat, public or private is prohibited under any circumstances. Any kind of flaming, threatening or insulting language directed at other members, factions or server administrators in chat, public or private, is prohibited on server and on forums. RP-related threats are allowed on the server.

Calling a character an idiot can be easily in RP. Calling someone an idiot - in an OOC comment like you did - was not directed at their characters, but at the players. That's easily seen by your comment.

You seem to think that we're taking away your toys and you can throw a tantrum and we'll give them back to you. No where in your massive missive did I see anything vaguely resembling an apology for your actions, or an understanding that YOU are held liable for YOUR actions here. Cannon very plainly and explicity said that all you had to do was post here on why we should release your ships.

You have failed to do so. Your ships will remain jailed until you do.

I have in no way thrown a tantrum.....just simply said that freezing an entire account for something someone did while they were exhausted after working for hour after hour was in my opinion excessive. As for apologizing ,i thought i had already said that i shouldn't have been playing knowing how tired and grouchy i was at the time ,and that i was in error in the manner that i handled things and that what i did was in poor judgment or poor roleplay in one of my previous posts. If i didn't make it clear enough then i apologize to the admins for that. I realize that the rules of the server are here for everyone's benefit since it is a r/p server and that as such that is one of the most important parts of the playing of the game. How tired i was really doesn't matter i guess what i did was wrong as i said before and i apologize for my actions with reguards to my interaction with the two other players. In the future i will just have to refrain from playing when i'm that tired and grouchy because too many hours of work and too little sleep tends to turn my usual easy going self into an arse for lack of a better way of putting it.
