Syn's quarters were gory as usual, the remains of his last plaything and meal strewn throughout, it'd take a clean up crew again, but Syn didn't care really. he had other things on his mind. The rank and file were getting too... happy. Too much light interfering with the dark work that needed doing to prepare the way.

Syn had cogitated over the problem for weeks, it had been his overriding issue that eclipsed all others. Ultimately the problem needed solving. But how? That was Syn's issue. Where was the twist that brought the Phantoms back in line with their dark masters? Which thread needed pulling? How to ensure it was pulled with the least blood shed? These were his questions.

Syn paced through the pools of blood, his claws making scarping sounds when they encountered the cold metal floor . Then he realised, the cord, the thread, and how to pull it so that everything ended up how it needed to end up. Syn smiled to himself. A plan was all he needed. He stalked off to the main temple. There he would set his plans in motion.
