A Coalition Storm

((Sigma-19 System - Onboard the 'Mizuchi' Blood Dragon Cruiser))

"Akuji, we're as near to the epicenter as we can get" one of Akuji's Ronin piped up,

"You know where it started?" Akuji questioned calmly,

"No, nothing solid, could be any number of systems around the Sigmas" the Ronin replied,

"Send out a broad-system comms, to anyone crazy enough to be out here"

"With what message?"

"Scrap that, ping anything that isn't a station, we need to find someone with fuel" Akuji ordered,

The Mizuchi cut itself through the clouds, it's systems struggling against the force of the Ion Storm as it hugged every contour of the ship.
It's bladed tip occasionally cutting through the occasionaly wreck, left by less-lucky pilots.

"Pinging like you asked, I set it to loop till our main generator stops" the Ronin informed him,

"This isn't right, this whole storm is behaving strangely" Akuji observed, making sure the ship carried on it's course,

"We can't engage cruise, afterburners won't work, I don't see the difference, shogun"

"By now our electronics should have cut out, and we'd be running on backup power" Akuji stated, glancing over his shoulder,

"Well soon our impulse drive will fail, if we don't fly into Planet Hiran... or Hades... Cerebus"

"Try and figure out where we are in the system, before we do all die a painful death" Akuji ordered, "I'll be working on boosting our generators. Oh, and let me know if we get a response"

Akuji disappeared down a small set of steps, down into the engineering section of the Mizuchi. The ship was mean to weather an Ion Storm, not travel through it. Even with the heavy modifications he had done, the ship wouldn't last forever like this.

Plus he was running out of fuel...
