The Truth

After some time of persuading father was willed to let me go with one of the transports, headed to those evil planets, he said I should see it with my own eyes, see the things they do to those former human beings there, but he also warned me about a place full of danger and told me to take a weapon with me all the time.

We arrived at the planet New Tokyo around 2 days after our departure at Malta. I liked the place, the transport pilot showed me one of the tea houses they got there, people appeared to be happy with their living conditions, I was not able to see the things father told me. Those people werent sick or insane at all, I was shocked, should father have lied to me just to have a justification to treat the slaves as he did?

Later that day we moved to a place one could call the underground, the people there were the ones we delivered the Cardamine to. These people had to make their living with begging, they had to steal to survive. After I asked around a bit, it seemed they were expelled, it seemed like nobody accepted them in this so called "society". But those people helped each other like I knew it, like we did it at home. Then I saw how one of those poor persons asked one of the richer for something to eat. The rich man was dressed in a expensive suit, had a golden necklace and a golden watch on his arm. But he refused to give something to the suffering person.
That was a thing that would never happen at Malta, where I was raised, people helped each other, they helped their friends, their neighbors, they even helped strangers that were in need of some food or a bed to sleep. How could the people here think in another way?
Again fathers words crossed my mind, the planets make them sick, insane, they are not like we are...
Then I thought of the weapon hanging on my left, I would be able to help those suffering people, it would be so easy...

I made my decision. I raised the gun, aimed directly between the rich mans eyes and pulled the trigger. It was that easy, others heard the shot, they came to see what was happening, when they saw the corpse they started to run. The panic, the chaos, that was what those deserved. The place was crowded the people ran in all directions and I started to shoot in the crow without a target, I just shot and they fell down.
The transports pilot, grabbed my arms and pulled me to our vessel so that we were able to flee. I soon understood why...

Police forces started a massacre in this underground, none of those living in poverty were spared, men, women, even children had to die. After I had to see this, I knew I had to help, it wasnt the humans fault as father always said the planets, the surrounding and with this the society made them what they are, Father was right...
