Well, let's see. Too top heavy. The actual Legion is a "bottom heavy" organization, foreigners commanded by seconded French officers. There should be no Ducs, knights, or even a Grand Marshall. The whole point of Legion Etrangere in a game is to allow merc and pirate types a chance to serve Gallia to earn citizenship. It's an underdog group. Why else would you have the Legion? If you want a bunch of officers poncing about in their pretty ships, the GRN is full of them.

The Foreign Legion is such a great story element and RP vehicle. I am surprised that you left out or ignored some of the primary reasons for it being so.

I found your proposal hard to read because of the HUGE bunched up paragraphs. A small thing to some, but it made my eyes hurt.

Don't get me wrong, there is a lot here I like, including the basic idea itself. I wish that it stuck a lot closer to the real Legion, but if it is approved, I may join. My RP is my own, so I will have my own reasons for joining. Remember, the Legion asks no questions...
