Okay, I get your point. Sirians are not allowed under any circumstances into Gallia. As you both said the same, I'm going to comment on both of your statements and maybe we find a solution together.
If you say that foreigners in Gallia are a complete no-go, then how about they will be stationed out of Gallia, and not let into Gallia at any time. So they would only fight Sirians, which means themselves...Sirians fighting Sirians? If you ask me, such a King that hates Sirians so much, I even heard the word "xenophobic", would definately like that. Sure, they would still serve the Legion, but more like some kind of unpaid "mercs", the payment being food and a place to sleep, and as most of them are outcasts from Sirian society anyway, they would surely find that accepting in exchange for doing the work of killing people they don't like anyway...that would be a definition for a "Legionnaire" in FL what do you say?
The only thing the Gallic Monarchy would want to do with any Sirian is probably to conquer them. It would work perhaps later on if Gallia ever invades another house since then you'd have prisoners, but even this is tricky. As it is now, the lawful side of Gallia wants nothing to do with Sirians ; except at gunpoint.
I am not in any kind powergaming or using his character, this pure thing is NOT a faction proposal, it's an idea I really want to bring into this game. I never said anything about "sharing" either, if you are RPing Louis V then you will be the only one who will, and not me, or anyone else would ever RP him. That's why I just wrote it's an idea from me....and now I want to hear your idea about what Louis V would do in this certain situation, if he would even call the Legion back up after 100 years of absence, if he would even think of the idea of calling it up...etc. We are here to discuss and share ideas and finally find a proper agreement so this faction can fit perfectly into the RP of everbody here.
His opinion would be : Huh, what, Sirians, fighting for me? I'd rather have a bunch of flying toothbrushes.
I'm sorry, but I do not see a King who has his own motives and plans have much use of Sirians. Except the pretty ones, they can shine his shoes. Maybe. In an extreme case. Also, keep in mind that it is you who wishes to see this faction work out. I personally won't lose any sleep over it not working out, so to speak.
We haven't done anything to prove that we are the aces, as I don't have enough of my members in-game to do that properly. But we will be numerously in game, soon, and we will start it properly. What I said about the Legion pilots being the aces was just my idea of how I imagine the Foreign Legion, and all these ideas, even everything I've written down is an idea and can be changed in order to make it acceptable for everyone.
The aces would be the actual Royal Navy, if you ask me. I assume that a Gallic Royal Navy Pilot/Knight would have received better training than random Sirian rif-raf. Nothing wrong with calling yourself aces, just don't be surprised when you -do- at one point bite the dust.
A Lord Mareshal is not the same as a Grand Mareshal, and yes, if you all think this position is too high then I will make him answer to the Grand M. aswell.
It's not so much the point of the legion answering to my character, but it's more or less that "scum"(which is what they effectively are) are not led by some one with an extremely high paycheck.
Secondly, the Legion is not a "bunch of foreigners"...there are more Gallian soldiers then foreign soldiers, and we already talked about the foreigners. There should be absolutely no foreigners. Which would effectively make it "La Legion Gauloise".
"Led by some Commoner?" The character I want to RP is not in any way a commoner, he is a noble, he is a direct descendant of a noble which makes him a noble aswell, that's why he even can be used as Lord Mareshal of the Legion. I have not finished his RP story yet, as I really really had no time for it, but I will, and every other member of this faction will do it for their characters aswell, as I really want to implement my idea, and that is only possbile through exceptional RP.
Do note that writing an RP story doesn't necessarily make it so anymore. This might have been so in .82, but now you'll need to recognition/support of Official factions before others will recognize you too. Not a rule or anything, it's just the way this seems to work out.
As Exile is RPing the King, he should decide that, as I already wrote a few paragraphs above. These are all my ideas and can be changed, if it suits better we could change it to "King Louis V. was so sure that he would crush Sirius into pieces that he sent elite soldiers under the command of a powerful leader to convince Sirian outcasts (by outcasts I do not mean the Maltese Outcasts, but all Sirians who don't like Sirius generally/have an own hatred towards Sirians, because they had a bad life/ etc, etc.) to fight the other Sirians, which would result in a complete domination of Gallia over Sirius if they really make Sirians fight Sirians (their own people)."
Grandscale-brainwashing? I think that more people will join with Gallia for the money or the "thrill" rather than them actually hating every other living thing. As said before, I do not see the King working with any form of Sirian except subjugating them.
And just the thought of it would boost the King's ego even more and would make him even surer that Gallia will conquer Sirius. This is again, an idea, and I would like to know what you think about it, Exile...
The King already has an ego larger than Dab's and mine combined. I don't think that the fact that he can turncoat rats would improve this much.
Those "nobility ranks" should be more like medals one gets if he succeds in accomplishing a very importnat and great task. I agree, those names (Duc, Chevalier,...) are not suitable as they are indeed noble ranks, I will change it soon.
Nobility? Gallic people and nobility, sure. Sirians and nobility? Not a chance.
