While it's true you can't restrict indies, i have a hard time taking indie polizei patrolling around in Rheinland Gunboats seriously. I tell them to switch to a Mjolnir instead.
If i see a Police repped indie flying a Wraith i tell him to switch to a mjolnir, if i see a military repped indie flying a mjolnir i tell him to switch to a wraith. And people actually listen. So OP has all rights to mention a restriction of the use of ships as an encouragement to future indies.
Sure, not everyone reads the forums, but pm'ing them ingame about it also works. So if you have learned the acceptable polizei ships, please remind the other indies that don't know ingame:)
Don't think everyone will take you seriously if you patroll around in gunboats and bergelmirs as a polizei. Make a military indie for that.
