Well, I figure it's time now to start logging some things.

I woke up with a hell of a headache somewhere in Manhattan's undercity; not having a clue as to how I got there...or honestly, who I was. I had my clothes, boots, & duster, AND a little cash in my pocket.

Wierd...Anyway, I shook off my groggy, wiped some blood out of my eyes, & still couldn't see a thing... After a couple of minutes of stumblin' around in the dark, l found the door. I slammed all my weight into it, & now my head AND shoulder hurts.

I ended up shooting the lock off w/ the gun I found in the right-inside pocket of my duster, & at the same moment as the door flew open & the light flooded in, a set of keys fell off the top of the jamb & right in my path outta here. I scooped 'em up & skedadled on my merry way.

It took a little doing, but after about 4 miles of walkin' with the keychain beepin' at me the closer I got, I finally found the place the keys call home, & it was almost, but not quite entirely unlike, the best ship I had ever seen...It was hard to tell at the time. Fer example, I couldn't just say: "In all my days, that's gotta be the poorest excuse for a boat I ever seen!" ...'cause my brain happened to be too occupied at that particular moment tryin' it's best to come up with my name for me.

I hopped aboard the sickly lookin' Starflier, & limped up ta claim my bit of sky.

I turned left & punched my cruise engines not caring for the moment where I was headed...I just wanted to think for a spell. I started snorfelling around the craft lookin' for somethin' useful, & the boat's internal speakers turned themselves on after a minute or so. "Don't freak out..." the voice said in that same robotic voice used by many of the 'bots around Sirius. "...If i'm right, you're digging around through your things..." (I wasn't freaked out till this very second, so I stopped what I was doin' & opened my ears.)

"You should set a course for Denver & get a job....AND!..." the voice continued, "you really should eject this recording in a cargo tube & blow it away...otherwise we both might have to do this whole thing over again in another system."

I don't know much, but I know i'm irritated now.

Since I couldn't think of somethin' better to do next, I vaporized the chip & went to Denver.

That was it...I've simply been goin' about my business since then.

I traded up on my ship 4 times, & now I'm piloting an X-Shuttle... (finally, a ship I like ta drive.) & though It may sound funny... ever since I woke up in the Underhattan, I've been having this re-occouring dream that I died in a shuttle like that. (not WILL die...HAVE died.) ...it kinda creeps me out... I also get this freaky shudder everytime I think about flying towards the west end of the sector...

Well, I'm probably just sufferin' from a perpetual case of the jitters.
