The path of Prospector

York entered Bar at Ouray base. Bar was crowded. At far table on the right side York saw people he was searching for. He waved to them, and on the way to them he asked bartender for another round...

- Hello my good friends. - York said - I've had very lucrative day today. So tonight drinks are on me.

Bernadotte, Tex and Frank raised their glasses laughing loudly.

You bastard, - said Tex, - why didn't u took us with you?

Heh, well you got the better part of the deal from my point of view Tex. Sitting here, drinking while i go and bring in the money. And still, you complain - York laughed...

They laughed so hard that some people in the bar started looking at them...Bartender was quite busy that evening.

There is more and more laughter on Xeno bases recently, business must be good, ha York?...I will need to hire help if this continues,- Bartender said while he passed York's table

Nobody noticed when stranger entered the bar. He was dressed in black, like most Xenos, but his suit revealed that he isn't one of the Xenos. He immediately started to walk to York's table.
Tex saw him first. His eyes darkened. York noticed Tex's change of the mood. He knew that Tex holds his ancient gun under the table ready for action, if theres need for it. Slowly, York turned towards stranger. He was two steps from table when he stopped.

- Richard York? - stranger spoke in deep voice

- Whos asking? - York asked back calmly.

Bern and Frank stood up and moved closer to York but still keeping line of fire for Tex's gun clear.

- My Lord, my master awaits you.

- Hmmm..i know whats this about...Very well..wait for me at dock 3. I will join you there.

Man turned and walked away.

- Men, don't wait up for me, it may take me some time.

- You are leaving? Alone? - Tex asked.

- Yes. This time i must fly alone.

Stranger waited York at dock 3 as York told him too. There was only one ship docked there, Prospector.

- Ok, claim a board and lets go. Your will fill me in on the way there.

As York and his guest left the bar for the hangar deck Tex turned to Bernodotte.

"Did you finish the job?"

"Oui, I did it last night while you two were interrogating the slanties."

"good."

York would be angry if he found out. No one was allowed to track him. It was a standing order. But Tex wasn't much for following stupid orders. He and Bernie would let the boss go on his solo quest with the fishy smelling foreigner. They would give the man a good 4 hours lead time before they slipped out as well..
