Tranports vs Caps

From the Outcast Guard ID:

Can only pirate in a gunboat or smaller (cruisers and battleships may demand allied pilots only)

From the Corsair Guard ID:

Can only pirate in a gunboat or smaller (cruisers and battleships may demand allied pilots only)

From the Red Hessian Guard ID:

Can only pirate in a gunboat or smaller (cruisers and battleships may demand allied pilots only)

So for pirating isn't just a rules matter, its also an ID matter. Removing the rule basically opens up the lawful caps to go lulzing around and shooting at transports. I mean how tough is a transport anyway? I've taken out PTrans' with a Sabre. Do you really need to 2-shot them?



To answer your question, I'm indifferent. I'm a careful trader/smuggler and a careful transport pirate. But if the rule was taken out, all transports should be fair game for all caps, and the no cap piracy clause should be removed from the unlawful IDs. None of that "only lawful caps can shoot transports" nonsense.
