It specifically stated in the post that Igiss made that the IMG sort of rolled over and agreed to allow the GRN to have access to their bases was so that they as a corporation would not be crushed out of existance.
I didn't make a gunboat restart for two reasons: One, I thought that gunboats would honestly be a waste of time with fighters, bombers, cruisers, and battleships - and Two, I ... ran out of time anyway. (Sounds good, that's my story, and I'll sticking to it.)
Remember that this whole thing has come together in basically just under two weeks. This was, and is, a trial for special events and also to help Cannon gather data about splitting the server if we can do that. We've never had this capability before. Both the regular universe AND this special event are running on the same machine.
Combat in Orkney, Tau-31, and Tau-23. Don't push it past there, and don't send me a PM that says "I think we've made the point that not everyone is going to agree with or go along with planned RP." Those encouraging words so make us all want to do extra things...
