' Wrote:I'll write up a semi-comprehensive list when I get home from work, because I'm fleeing this accursed windowless place right now.
Semi-comprehensive list of all that I felt could be done better next time around.
Lack of co-ordination between sides.
Lack of Fleet Leaders controlling each side.
Weird instances like the GRN docking on IMG bases (Java and Holman) and KNF docking at the gate construction site.
More consistant fleet leaders, who (A) know what their doing (B) can control the masses (C ) can organize the fleets to be more then just running into a furball and dying (D) can help prevent some of the rather inane stuff, like KNF dessies fighting with the GRN, and vice versa, and LNS caps fighting in the Taus.
Less armor on capships. Seriously, cap VIIIs on Valors was just a bit much. Give the caps normal VIIIs, the fighters an armor V. (or whatever's just enough to survive a nuke/mini razor)
Give ships a variety of weapons. I.E. give a fighter 2 debs, 4 faction guns (or 3 of each if a faction has more then one gun), a missile or two, a mini razor, a train CD, a nuke mine, a screamer mine, ect. Let each person mount what they like best. Capships too. Different fighting styles, ect.
The constant re-engaging. Which is fine, to a point, but when you have 5 battleships shooting you, you kill one, and it's back in the fight before you've killed the next one, it becomes slightly aggravating. Have a cool-down period. Unless there's a FLHook method that can stay with multiple characters (/restart makes it really easy to avoid a character temp ban), maybe an account ban? Or have the spawn point be a handful of systems back from the fighting. It might be possible to make it so that even if you dock somewhere to buy bots/bats/ammo, you don't respawn there. (via character deletion?). It could make running a worthwhile tactic.
Just some thoughts, don't be afraid to ask for help.
