"It's a convoy! They're under attack!"
Archer looked up quickly. The Zerg had left them alone for a bit, so there was a chance for a quick nap/rest. But a convoy... He thought everyone else was either too far away, dead, or worse...
"Load up! We're going to save them!"
The marines poured out of the bunkers, eager to get some new people to boost their numbers. Marines up front to lay down supression fire, firebats behind ready to move up and burn the Zerg to the ground. The leader of the small team of Firebats, known as Brother Napalm, lead his men in what he really loved; close assault.
"Forward my brothers! We must purify these hethens with the Holy Flame! Let Solaris' will be done!"
"Burn 'em all!"
"For the Eternal Flame!"
"Time for a little barbeque!"
Brother Napalm and his team swept the Zerg with their fire, torching at already burnt ground with more ash and char. Archer ran up t the lead vehical of the convoy.
"Come on! There's more right behind you! Once we get you within the safety of the bunkers, our Seige tanks can open up!" Then there was a loud 'Ka-blam!' as one of said tanks let a round loose down-range. It landed behind the convoy, and a sprey of red and Zerg chunks flew into the air following another explosion.
"S*it! They're closer than I thought! Get moving!"
He jumped off and took aim breifly. He fired as fast as he could, and putt three rounds into a near-by overlord that got too close. It dropped, suddenly missing its head.
