Reporting of another Omega-7 cleanup, we repelled a minor Hessian and a larger-scale Corsair offensive.
At around 1100 SMT, me and Flieger McDowell entered Omega-7 to witness a Red Hessian vessel registered to Kristian Elias, a criminal belonging to the Red Hessian Army, according to our databases. Following a brief verbal exchange, during which he concluded that the IMG holds the Red Hessians more important than Rheinland, he opened an attack profile just as I switched my weapon systems online. I eliminated the threat in under a minute, we were able to carry on with the patrol as my ship remained undamaged.
Near Freistadt base, another Hessian was noticed, this time an independent terrorist. He flew up to the base and docked, as difficult as this sounds to believe. I was about to call off the patrol as the ship immediately undocked, so attempting to extract information from the individual on how or why he managed to bypass IMG security protocols was in order.
Since he didn't decide to speak up and tell the truth, I ordered Flieger McDowell to dispatch of him, which she did successfully.

At 1714 SMT, later that day during a training which Hauptmann Weissman will detail, we received a distress call from an unknown vessel reporting Corsairs in Omega-7. I ordered the pilots present, Hauptmann Weissman, Flieger Eberhardt and reserve pilot Kanon Hanoka to check on it, while I attempted to get a slight engine malfunction fixed.
In ten minutes as I was done, the hostiles have been made out by the forward patrol, positive ID was given on four Corsair vessels, later positively identified to have been affiliated with "The Brotherhood" cell. As I arrived on the scene, I confirmed three Titans and a Gladiator, no mistake was to be made as they could be visually made out.
For some reason however, the Corsair pretended to be independent miners arriving to the system. Whether they did it for self-amusement or were actually serious in some regard, will never be determined but on the field I decided to play along, responding with the argument of the system already being divided legally by the local mining groups. They started coming with human rights and issues like that, to which I responded to a more hostile and disregarding manner.
They eventually stopped with the "disguise" and opened fire, as expected. Full retaliation was in order. In the clash of our forces, we lost Flieger Eberhardt's vessel and mine got heavily damaged due to the repeated enemy fire, but we managed to destroy two Titans and gradually wound the third.
The Corsairs have fallen into retreat, I gave orders not to pursue. That's two-nil for our side on today's struggle against the shadow of terrorism within the Omegas.
