*1 month later*

Kiri lay on her bed, looking up at the ceiling, she had gotten unwanted sick leave from police duty for a while and was to rest and try to recover from overworking herself. She lay in her own clothes, clothes that her new mother and father had bought specially for her, she hugged her arms together as if to hug the clothes and the warm feeling of safety they bestowed her. Kiri breathed slowly whispering to herself, "almost time to change my medicine" she looked at her right arm and sighed, she slowly looked back at the cieling whilst soothing her pained arm, gently prodding and slowly stroking the skin around her implant.

Her BPA promotion certificate hung on the wall to her right, next to the personal recommendation from Commander Silsbury. Besides Kiriko's pistol and stuffed Neko-kun toy, these were the only 2 personalised objects in the room.

Kiri struggled a little and sat up resting on the headrest behind her, she blinked slowly "I better.. change my medicine before its... too late..." just as she said that she felt a small wave of dizziness flush through her head, she shook her head slowly at first and then quickly when the feeling didnt subside, she shivered "w...wait..i..m..not..read.y.." trying to get off her bed she fell to the ground with a loud thud off the right hand side of her bed.

Kiri opened her eyes and saw nothing, her room was gone, her bed was gone, she was back into the darkness that extended infinitely in all directions, she stood quickly looking around, whereas in reality she lay motionless on the floor of her bedroom, Kiri began to feel a cold presence, she trembled uncontrollably, crouching down she placed her hands on her head "i.i..it..its.." she stutted many times trying to speak over her fear, the apple in her throat eventually blocked all of her voice and her mouth trembled silently opening and closing, but with no sound to speak of. Kiri felt the cold flowing over her shoulder, she knew all to well what stood behind her now.

Kiri knelt on the floor in the darkness, faint whispering could be heard from behind her, she absolutely dared not look, she shook her head trying to scream "go away! go away!" but still nothing, she had been muted, she felt 4 long fingers coil round her ribcage, they were cold as a glacier, she gasped as they touched her back, they coiled round over her chest, over her stomach and ribs, she didnt move, she just knelt on the floor trembling, almost as if there was a hint she finally wanted it all to end.

The long fingers slowly began to sink into her body taking their frost bitten feelings of dread and anguish deep into Kiri once again, looking for her soul, searching, clawing. memories flushed Kiriko's mind, her uncle and grandfather, the old ship she used to serve on, Blood Dragons, Kyoto, the GC, captain Villia, Mason, Captain Benjamin of the Niagara Falls, Sakura-chan, the DSS, Reaver ships, Clytemnestra, Alice-oneesama, Leo-tousama, and Shizuma-kasama, slowly her breathing dulled as the reaper got closer and closer to its destination...
