I was checking over our files when I realized the last time we had a reconnaissance operation in Rheinland was quite a while, so I decided to organize one of my own.
Once I deployed to the Hamburg system through the jumphole in Bering, I immediately cruised to the Battleship Westfalen in my Upholder, which I had modified with some extra scanning and jamming equipment. When I got near the battleship, I made sure to stay away from its firing distance, and I managed to take some readings. Unfortunately, it seems the Rheinland Military has improved its jamming and blocking equipment since I was unable to hack and get access into the battleship's data core. I did manage to get some information though, which may or may not help the Navy in coordinating attacks or our R&D Division in creating new weapons to counter the threat.
After scanning the Westfalen, I headed over to the Vierlande Prison and did the same. Essentially, I did the same for the battleships Strausberg, Altenburg, Koblenz, and Regensburg.
In addition to scanning those battleships, I was also able to pass by Brandenburg Border Statino. The target might've been considered insignificant, however I scanned it just in case anyway.
It appears to be a base run by the Landwirtrechtbewegung. I think we should notify Synth Foods immediately about this base so that they can begin sending in their agents to neutralize hostile targets within the area. The information about the base and its location could help the company defend its cargo from the Rheinland terrorist organization as well.
I'd also request a Junker to be placed on surveillance as well. While I did maintain stealth during the mission, I came across a junker named Mnemosyne. Although he pledged to keep quiet about an LSF agent in New Berlin, I'm not too sure we can trust him, as I did come across the [RM] after I had completed collecting my data. I suspect he may have warned them about LSF operatives conducting reconnaissance in Rheinland.
As I mentioned earlier, I did come across the Rheinland Military during my operation in the Frankfurt system, after I had collected the data and was heading back to friendly lines. A well known Junker by the name Eva McDowell had also showed up, and assisted the Rheinland Military officer in taking me down.
I managed to give them both a chase through the Frankfurt system, however problems arose once I managed to jump to New Berlin through a jump hole. Red Hessian drones had my cruise engines disrupted so I was unable to maintain the chase and my bomber came under fire from the [RM] ship as well as the Junker. I attempted to relay my data as well however I was too far behind enemy lines to do so as the Rheinland Military had the entire area jammed of communications. Luckily, I was able to send out a distress signal to a secondary fleet LSF agent named Norman O'Connor. He managed to come to my assistance in New Berlin and help me escape while I bluffed the Rheinlanders my surrender. While being chased in the Hamburg system however, we were forced to return fire. Luckily, we managed to get within range to send in the data back to Kodiak, so I did just that and covered Agent O'Connor in his retreat. By doing so, I was shot down, and so was Agent O'Connor. Luckily the Rheinlander's did not pick up our pods as they were cloaked.
A civilian transport ship came by and tractorred in our escape pods. As soon as we were rescued, the both of us forcefully took command of the ship, maintaining a cover as Red Hessian special forces. We managed to take down the security detail of the ship through non-lethal methods. We then commandeered the ship to Freeport 2 in Bering, making sure Rheinland Border Patrol did not find us when leaving the county. Once we got to Freeport 2, we released the ships crew and reported back to command.
