Not much is known about the past of Felix Fontaine. He himself claims to be from an aristocratic family, bearing true noble blood, however many of the people he meet often deem this as mere fiction.

A young man, he prides himself as a true "gentleman", strictly following the unspoken laws of what defines proper Gallic nobility. His occupation however, is far from noble. He works with the criminal underground in Gallia, making a living through piracy and in the information business. He has contacts throughout the black market in Gallia and can get anybody with enough francs any illegal good in Gallia.

His piracy methods are also far from "gentlemanly". He prefers to pick on poorly defended convoys. Choosing to high-tail it when reinforcements arrive. He only picks fights he knows he can win. Choosing his life over any sort of honour any time. He pilots the only ship he has, tEclipse Gallic Civilian Bomber.

His diary begins`when he gives up piracy in Gallia, stating that convoys now are "too well protected" due to the war with the Sirians. One of his friends gives him a tip-off that Sirian convoys away from the battlefront are easy pickings, often poorly defended and armed with weak weaponry. His friend offers him a place to stay on Barrier Gate Station, where he operates from, often targeting Bretonian and Libertonian convoys heading through the independent worlds.

He himself is actually a Council sympathizer and supporter. He often charges less credits or even, or rarer occasion, lets off Bretonian convoys who are supplying the fight against the Gallic invasion. He however, still believ%s "business is business" and that he cannot simply let off every Bretonian convoy he s%es.
