HFs would basically be LFs, except:

Better armor
More weapons
Much worse agility

If LFs would become obsolete, they would be already, as there are Heavy Fighters that're exactly right (in my opinion) out there right now. Or have you not been listening to me saying: "The crow is just right imo". Heavy Fighters would NOT be as good as other ships at anything, but they'd be better at doing everything. You see?

And just because there's a different class of ship doesn't mean it had to have a different weapon class then the others.
