After I brushed the vomit-taste outta my mouth, & took 3 more painkillers, I pulled my clothes on & read the note Ebola left me, sayin' that she's waitin' down in the Hood's mess hall for the breakfast I promised her.

I'll buy 'er whatever she wants, but I think I'll stick with some soup myself.

I sit on the edge 'o the bed & turn on the media wall as I pull on my boots.

"ALL THE NEWS THAT'S FIT FOR YOU. THIS IS THE COLONY NEWS SERVICE...NEW LONDON- FOUR REPRESENTITIVES OF-----"

I turn down the volume to a dull roar as quick as I could, before my head explodes or blood starts flowin' from the corners of my eyes or somesuch, & start lookin' around tryin' to remember what direction I flinged my duster last night.

While I'm lookin' I notice a couple strands 'o long hair restin' on the pillow beside the one I was usein' last night.

Heh! 'Hair 'o The Dog'...not only is it a good idea, it's funny on a couple 'o levels.

I find my coat & finish up gatherin' my things....

"...And in the world of entertainment.." the media wall continues ta blather, "..Scream-Queen starlet Gretchen Koenig was killed yesterday in a gruesome accident during the filming of the latest installment of the popular 'Non-Compos Mentis' series, which resulted in the severing of her body at the waist. Shocked cast members were quick to assure the public that produc--click--

I turn off the power, lock the door, & head down fer breakfast w/ a weird feeling of deja' vu.
