Earth is now but a myth, a story told the children of Sirius, the telling of the great journey and sacrifice their forefathers made for freedom from oppression.

Is this your own theory or Discovery vanilla? I find it hard to believe that in 23rd century people would send sleeper ships without having some kind of a databank with them. Your regular joe-shmoes probably had the entire Wikipedia stored on an iPhone.

But that's not what I made this thread about. Once more, I'll direct your attention to this:

The fate of the Sol system itself was largely unknown and it's people where presumed to be under Coalition control until the late 8th century, when edge world astronomers discovered Sol's name-giving G2V-class star turning into a bright flash of light.

Is this Discovery cannon or not? Can a developer confirm it?
