To: The Republique Militarie
From: Captaine Ruiz' de lu la Ramper
CC: After action report.
Bonjour Monsieurs and madams!
Today has been a great day for the Republique and the Liberation Movement.

During a standard patrol from Macon in Burgundy, I detected comm chatter from the ships "Soup.&.Biscuits" and "Ives.Le.Charcutier" - at first, I received the impression that they were fighting, and was led to wonder if the "'Biscuit" was some form of rogue Council captain. After all, I knew Ives was the Captaine of a Valour class battleship from prior encounters. Then I picked up distress signals from a number Council patrols that were operating in the system. The pair were a duo of capital ships, preying on Council and Marquis fighter units.

I immediately called for assistance from the main Republique battlegroup which had been running routine patrols in the Champagne system. Before long, I had traced the two errant capital ships to Planet Nevers, all the while trading insults with the Ives. The captaine of that particular Valour seems to have a particually noticeable inferiority complex, seeing as he immediately barked that he was an "Amiral" and not a "Captaine". It is not good when your entire self-worth rests on your rank, non? From then on, he was "private Ives" to me.

They were joined by a second cruiser at Nevers, the RNS-Paris. Unfortunately, none of the Captaines were particularity capable verbally, with my rhetoric running rings around them. As we were to find later, their combat effectiveness would later follow suit. The main Republique task force arrived shortly, consisting of another bomber, and four fighters (including one Marquis Agama that was already present). The Valour had moved away from Nevers by then, in an attempt to intercept myself and the Marquis - a cruiser on each of it's flanks. They halted about 8k from the planet. At this point, the Paris initiated some devious Royalist tricks and dissipated. The battleship ordered it's crew to stand down, then opened fire regardless. As little as honour matters in space, that is demonstrating very little, non?
RdG|Cpt.Ruiz'.De.Ramper: Surrender now and you and your men will live unharmed
RNS-Paris: weapons online
RdG|Cpt.Ruiz'.De.Ramper: I will repeat my offer.
Ives.Le.Charcutier: all weapons set to hundred percent
RdG|Cpt.Ruiz'.De.Ramper: Repent and surrender and you will find mercy.
Ives.Le.Charcutier: Ives to all crew of charcutier: stand down.
Soup.&.Biscuit: *weapons powering up*
Soup.&.Biscuit: Crew to your stations
2010-06-30 21:06:52 SMT : RNS-Paris is attempting to engage cloaking device
RdG|Cpt.Ruiz'.De.Ramper: We have given you enough time. Will you surrender?
RdG|Cpt.Ruiz'.De.Ramper: End this peacefully, private.
Ives.Le.Charcutier: well, how come that you havent brought binbers?
Soup.&.Biscuit: what do we have here Admrial? a bunch of bombers?
RdG|Cpt.Ruiz'.De.Ramper: You need not waste the lives of your crew.
Ives.Le.Charcutier: it semt to be fighters Sir
RdG|Cpt.Ruiz'.De.Ramper: *Sigh* You give us no option.
Ives.Le.Charcutier: should be a piece of cake
RdG|Cpt.Ruiz'.De.Ramper: Advance!
Death: Soup.&.Biscuit was killed by a hostile vessel.
Private Ives signalled the general retreat as the 'Biscuits' exploded. We had a wonderful time mocking him as he fled. Ironic that he described dealing with us as a 'piece of cake', as we destroyed the Biscuit, non? After this, we were ordered to regroup at Macon, at which point I landed.

Later on, units were scrambled due to action in the Dauphine system. I got there as fast I could, because of reports of capital class vessels in the area. The main engagement was between Republique units, with supporting [C] fighters against a force of Royal Police. Later, two cruisers and a Royal Navy taskforce were to arrive.

One of the cruisers immediately bugged out, with the GRN|RNS-Martyr remaining. This being the infamous cruiser that evaded destruction at my hand previously, at the Battle of Djion. Of course, my blood was up, and after it opened fire on my wingmen, I had no recourse but to fire myself. The hallmark antimatter explosion of bomber weapons of course drew attention, with the Martyr's Captaine immediately ordering several GRN fighters onto my tail.

Before long, the Police fighters were dispatched, and the fighters moved in to assist in my efforts against the Martyr. The team worked well, as the fighters dropped its shields, and I rent holes in it's hull. Eventually it was dispatched, and all forces were set on another target.

From this point I received a lot of... Attention. Fortunately, inferior Royalist aim, and my own special evasive "trick" allowed me to get the better of them. Ruiz' de lu la Ramper lives to triumph again! Another combatant would have to be contacted to gain a perspective on the main body of the second strike. My attention was rather occupied by remaining alive and insulting the Royalists.

Viva la Republique!
