Then it sucks for the indies, I guess. Honestly, while I used to be pro-independent, the more I see them going, the more I believe that factions should have more free reign, and I believe this would be a step in the right direction.

As for official factions with more than 1 official faction, simple: if you can create a percentage for a single commodity, then you can probably make several small percentages between the different factions, so each get their share of it. The Corsairs and the Outcasts sell enough of their own respective products, they'd still be the ones making the most credits.

Same would apply for the AGS (since they have 2 NPC IDs under one faction), as an example, where if people buy Unioner/LWB techs, they'd probably receive half as much as other factions from it.

Besides, this mod is striving more and more towards giving power to official factions. I honestly doubt that independents will be able to field out player stations.

EDIT: Indie players don't get access to it because, well, they don't really represent the majority of their factions. They don't get to say a word about the future of it, only play as part of it.

EDIT2: Honestly, factions are here to give the example, and I believe that helping them through this mean could only make'em more active, as they'd be able to buy their ships more cheaply, therefore, be more present and whatnot. I'm pretty sure factions like the Liberty Rogues and the Mollies would be a lot more active if they'd get royalties out of all the Ptrans they sell!
