Initialise Transmission Subject: the K'Hara activity in Liberty.
Greetings. Today I was performing the first patrol on my own (as a member of the Primary Division) and spotted a suspicious freelancer, Kazinsal Goldsmith. His Eagle was carrying escape pods of some police vessels. Kazinsal handed the pilots to me, but when I was about to dock he suddenly mentioned the K'Hara and something about being their emissary. Needless to say, I followed him at once, attempting to learn more of his intentions. That led me to California, where I noticed a nomad Mindnode (equivalent of our gunboat). I kept my distance and moved back to New-York to get some assistance.
The commander of LNS-Wolfcrest was told to declare "pirate threat" in California. That was done to scare off the civilians and attract the Navy personnel. Unfortunately, it caused exaggerated reaction from the Navy (the forces deployed were too large), although I can't blame them for that, since these forces saved my life.
Once in Cali, I established the secure channel and my associates learned of the real threat (all of them have access to Alaska, so no disclosure was made). We tracked down those nomads near the system's sun. The lonely gunboat was now accompanied by 2 voidrunners and one morph (arrived later). The mindnode began its mental attack on me, excluding me from the fight for some time. Once it was terminated, I could join the fight. Eventually, all the nomads were destroyed.
Our casualties:
- mister Clark ([*USI*]) (was using the lane when it was disrupted by the nomads. His ship was destroyed, but the pod was tractored by our allies. Advise paying him a visit to talk about "non-disclosure");
- Deciple (Navy) (scanners indicated his ship was destroyed by friendly fire; he reached the Riverside and left for NY);
- LNS-Wolfcrest (heavily damaged and towed to the shipyard later; this ship was the first to be engaged by the nomads, and the crew had to fight on their own for some time);
- LSFC-Heroic (heavily damaged by concentrated fire, towed to NY).
Enemy lost one Mindnode, 2 Voidrunners, 1 morph, 1 Eagle (Kazinsal's ship, supposedly destroyed by FLAKs when he attempted to come close to the spot of battle; the pod wasn't found).
